The mammography department gives the residents of this coastal region access to high-quality breast diagnostics in two important cities. The department employs 13 employees of various categories such as radiologists, radiographers and general nurses and a medical secretary. The department performs approximately 25,000 examinations each year; mammography screenings and clinical examinations.

The department for mammography is part of the X-ray clinic and has operations throughout the region, the clinical operations, where you will work, are in the region's largest city and hospital. However, health checks are also carried out at the second largest hospital in the region as well. As a specialist doctor recruited from abroad, you will receive an introduction during your first term as well as a supervisor who supports you. Your competences will be mapped, and you will receive training in areas where competence gaps exist. We are now looking for a Chest Radiologist for our department to the region's central hospital. As a mammography doctor, you are responsible for independently investigating clinical patients with, for example, tomosynthesis, ultrasound and biopsies of various types, including stereotaxic and tomosynthesis-guided vacuum biopsies. You also perform preoperative indications of tumors, you lead or participate in multidisciplinary conferences and supervise ST doctors. This hospital is also happy that they can now also perform breast MRI in this region and therefore value the MR competence of those who apply. You have a lot of contact with patients and collaborate with other staff in the breast process. Your closest colleagues will consist of chest radiologists, X-ray nurses/ registered nurses, and administrative secretary. As you work closely with your colleagues, it is important to us that you have good collaboration skills.

- The work is carried out on non-holiday weekdays, Monday-Thursday 7.15-16.30 and Fridays 7.15-12.15. - No shifts/evenings or weekends. - The department is in a newly built building by the hospital and brand new and fresh premises, right by the sea. (sea view from the coffee room) - Salary is difficult to determine now, but a finished specialist in 2025 will have a salary of approx. 75,000-80,000 depending on previous experience. - If the person is under 40 years of age, you have 25 vacation days, which are then increased to 31 days the year you turn 40, and then 32 days the year you turn 50.
