Ophthalmologist to Sweden!

This smaller sized hospital is searching for new colleagues.

Requirements
We know that in many EU countries many ophthalmologists work with mixed practices for children and adults. We are therefore looking for an ophthalmologist who has experience working with children. This service will mean that a large proportion is done in the children's area. Surgical competence can be included if there is interest or experience.

Licensed doctor who is a specialist/senior doctor in ophthalmology with experience in pediatric ophthalmology. Swedish C1 will be required upon starting the employment at the hospital.

  • a few years of work experience in pediatric ophthalmology.

  • Competence in strabismus surgery is also seen as an extra positive.

  • Good theoretical knowledge in pediatric ophthalmology, and at least the basis required in specialist competence.

  • Important with a commitment to development and interest in the medical field.

  • If you are active in research or LEAN management, it is meritorious.

  About the workplace

This Eye Clinic is the County Hospital in the region. At the eye clinic, we offer planned and emergency eye care and treatment to people with eye problems or eye disease, as well as to people in need of qualified eye care. You can come to us via a referral from an optician, district doctor or other specialist doctor. We focus on eye care. There are several areas of eye care that include but are not limited to:

 Glaucoma

Cataract

Macular degeneration

Diabetic retinopathy

Corneal diseases

Eye inflammations

Eye muscle diseases

Eyelid problems

Visual impairment and neurology


Conditions of employment
This Region applies individual wage setting. They are based on experience, age, and your education.
On-call duties occur during the weekends and evenings but not during the day. 

A specialist doctor usually starts between SEK 63,500 and SEK 70,000 before taxes. If you become a senior physician, you can make anything between SEK 70,000 and SEK 95,500/month depending on your experience, education and age.
