Specialist Physician/Senior Physician in Anesthesiology – Thoracic Anesthesia

The department provides highly specialized cardiac and pulmonary surgical care, as well as care in invasive cardiology/PCI, TAVI, pacemaker, and ICD/CRT, among other areas.

As an anesthesiologist, you will work in a specialized and multidisciplinary environment with close collaboration between anesthesiology, intensive care, thoracic surgery, and cardiology.

The position includes, among other things:

• thoracic anesthesia
• work in the thoracic intensive care unit
• anesthesia during surgery
• participation in on-call duty
• close collaboration with other professions within the department

Previous experience in thoracic anesthesia is an advantage but not an absolute requirement. If you are a specialist in anesthesiology with an interest in further developing your skills in thoracic anesthesia, you are also welcome to apply.

We are looking for someone who: - is a specialist physician in anesthesiology - has a medical degree from the EU/EEA or Switzerland - has strong clinical competence and takes significant professional responsibility - has good collaboration and communication skills - Experience in thoracic anesthesia, intensive care, and on-call duty is an advantage. Employment as a specialist physician or senior physician will be determined based on competence and experience.

The position is a permanent employment. Regular working hours are: - Monday–Thursday: 07:30–16:30 - Friday: 07:30–11:30 The position includes approximately 10 on-call shifts per month. On-call duty is from 16:30–07:30 and from 11:30 on Fridays. Individual salary determination is applied based on competence and experience. Current median salary, excluding supplements, is approximately: * 82,325 SEK/month for specialist physicians * 97,650 SEK/month for senior physicians - Compensation for on-call duty is additional. You have 25 vacation days per year, 31 days from the year you turn 40, and 32 days from the year you turn 50. In addition, benefits include occupational pension, insurance, wellness allowance, and access to the employer's fitness facilities.
